Retreat FAQ
Below is a list of frequently asked questions.
Feel free to reach out for any additional questions.
Where is the retreat located? The retreat is located at an Eco Resort called Eagle's Nest. Eagle's Nest is located in San Marcos, Lake Atitlan, Guatemala.
What are the room options? There are Queen Cabin, King Cabin, and King Suite options. The Queen cabin can host 2 people in a shared bed, while the King Cabin and Suite can host up to 3 people (shared bed + twin bed). The king suite features a private en-suite bathroom while the other rooms will use the communal toilets.
Can I share a room with someone? Yes, you can either share a bed or there is an extra twin bed in the king cabin/suite if you want separate beds.
What kind of yoga will be offered? There is a mix of classes offered from ashtanga, vinyasa, yin and more.
What activities are included? On-site workshops, yoga classes and events are included in the base price, while outside excursions like the boat tour and hike are optional and require an additional fee.
How do I get to the retreat? The closest airport is La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. From there, you will need to book a car either directly to the resort in San Marcos, or alternatively for more adventurous and advanced travelers, you can book a shared shuttle to Panajachel and then a shared boat ride to San Marcos and then take a tuktuk to the retreat center. I would recommend booking the private car from the airport to the retreat center. This can be shared with friends to split the cost.
What should I pack? Lightweight, breathable yoga clothes: tops, leggings, shorts Reusable water bottle Comfortable sports bra and athletic wear for active sessions Comfortable casual wear for free time Lightweight jacket or sweater for cooler mornings and evenings Hiking attire: breathable clothing, sturdy shoes, and a hat for sun protection Swimsuit for water activities or relaxing at the venue's plunge pool Sandals or flip-flops for easy walking around the retreat center Light rain jacket or poncho (just in case) Compact daypack for hikes and excursions Passport and a copy Travel insurance details Local currency or a credit card for optional excursions and shopping
