On our final full day together at the Relax & Reignite Yoga Retreat, we gathered at the Secret Garden Stage at Eagle’s Nest, a sun-drenched platform surrounded by lush greenery and mountain views. This 52-minute Side Crow Vinyasa Flow captured the essence of this Guatemala yoga retreat: strength, balance, and curious exploration.
This class revisits all of the alignment and movement principles we refined throughout the week, layering in twisting and side-body strength to prepare for Side Crow (Parsva Bakasana) and Eka Pada Koundinyasana II.
We flowed through:
Side Plank variations to strengthen the obliques and shoulders
Half Moon and Sugar Cane Pose to open the hips and challenge balance
Pyramid and Revolved Pyramid to find grounding and rotation
And finally, the empowering Side Crow sequence, with individual attention and gentle coaching for each participant.
The air was filled with laughter, encouragement, and the sound of breath, the kind of collective energy that only happens in a small group retreat.
