Yoga Foundations at Lake Atitlán | Full Crow Pose Vinyasa Flow from My Guatemala Yoga Retreat
On the first full morning of the Relax & Reignite Yoga Retreat at Eagle’s Nest, Lake Atitlán, the sun rose over the volcanoes and the lake shimmered below our mats. This was the perfect setting for our foundational vinyasa flow, designed to help students reconnect with their bodies, refine their alignment, and build strength for the days ahead.
This 80-minute Yoga Foundations class focuses on the essential postures that create a strong base for every practice: including Warrior I & II, Triangle, Pyramid, Dancer, and Eagle Pose. Throughout the flow, I offered 1:1 hands-on adjustments to help each participant feel grounded and supported as we explored correct alignment and breath-to-movement awareness.
The class gradually built toward Crow Pose (Bakasana), an empowering arm balance that challenges core engagement, focus, and courage. Together, we worked through preparatory drills to make the pose accessible for all levels, celebrating each moment of progress along the way.
The energy on the platform that morning was electric, the sound of distant birds, the warmth of the early sun, and a deep sense of community as everyone moved in sync.
If you’ve ever dreamed of deepening your yoga practice in breathtaking destinations like this Guatemala Yoga Retreat, I’d love to have you join my next retreat. We’ll explore movement, mindfulness, and meaningful connection in nature.
