Ready to explore flight? This 60-minute all-levels Balance & Strength Crow Pose vinyasa flow was filmed live at Free Yoga at the Whale Tail in Golden Gate Park on a beautiful Saturday morning. This class is designed to build the strength, focus, and body awareness needed to explore Crow Pose (Bakasana)—a foundational arm balance that challenges your core, coordination, and mindset.


Throughout the class, you’ll move through a strong and steady sequence that prepares the body for crow through mindful progressions. Whether you’re learning how to take flight for the first time or deepening your practice, this flow offers accessible entry points for every level: no props needed.


What to Expect in This Class

This flow incorporates standing postures, core work, and breath-led movement to help you feel grounded, strong, and ready to balance on your hands:

  • Low Lunge with Tricep Stretch

  • Warrior I with Cow Face Arms to open the shoulders and upper back

  • Pyramid Pose to lengthen the hamstrings and prepare for deep folds

  • Warrior III to challenge your balance and focus

  • Boat Pose with Crow Prep Drill to strengthen the core and connect movement to breath

  • Malasana to open the hips and center your energy

  • Crow Pose (Bakasana) with step-by-step cues and optional modifications

You'll leave this class feeling strong, empowered, and connected to your center—both physically and mentally.


Special Feature: Live Sound Bath During Cool Down

As you settle into savasana, enjoy a live sound bath experience featuring sound bowls, chimes, and soothing instruments played by Caitlin Ryan. This immersive sonic journey enhances your relaxation, calms the nervous system, and helps integrate the physical and energetic benefits of your practice.


It’s a magical way to close the class: grounded, calm, and connected.
