Eagle Pose Vinyasa Flow in Golden Gate Park
Looking to challenge your balance and focus while opening your upper back and shoulders? This 60-minute all-levels vinyasa class was filmed live at Free Yoga at the Whale Tail in Golden Gate Park on a warm, sunny San Francisco morning. This week’s class is centered around Eagle Pose (Garudasana), a powerful standing balance that encourages stability, strength, and focus.
This flow features binds, twists, and grounding transitions to help you cultivate focus and strength from the inside out. You’ll move through layered variations that prepare the body for the full expression of Eagle Pose.
What to Expect in This Class
This class blends strength, balance, and mobility through postures that activate the lower body and open the upper back and shoulders. You’ll be guided through:
Warrior I with Eagle Arms to strengthen the legs and open the upper body
Eagle Arm Crunches to challenge the core and coordination
Warrior III to enhance balance and activate stabilizers
Standing Balancing Sequences to develop focus and control
Traditional Eagle Pose (Garudasana) to integrate strength, flexibility, and breath
Expect a dynamic sequence that builds heat, improves coordination, and brings you into the present moment with every breath.
