Twists & Binds Vinyasa Flow in Golden Gate Park

Ready to unlock tension and build mobility from the inside out? This 60-minute all-levels vinyasa flow was filmed live at Free Yoga at the Whale Tail in Golden Gate Park on a peaceful San Francisco morning. Designed to open the shoulders, spine, and hips, this class focuses on twists and binds to support flexibility, breath awareness, and emotional release.

Our peak pose for this week is Half Lord of the Fishes (Ardha Matsyendrasana)—a seated spinal twist that encourages grounding, detoxification, and deep inner focus. You’ll be guided through a steady progression of postures that prepare your body to twist with ease and bind with confidence.

Whether you're feeling stiff in the shoulders, tight in the hips, or just need a reset, this class offers a mindful approach to building strength and space—no props required.

What to Expect in This Class

This all-levels flow blends gentle warm-ups, twisting lunges, and shoulder binds to release tension and increase mobility. You'll move through:

  • Neck Stretches to soften and prepare the upper body

  • Low & High Lunges with Tricep Stretch + Bind to activate and open the shoulders

  • Malasana with a Bind to stretch the spine and hips

  • Janu Sirsasana to lengthen the hamstrings and side body

  • Half Lord of the Fishes (Ardha Matsyendrasana) to ground, twist, and reset

Expect to feel more open, stable, and centered—on and off the mat.
